  • As reported by BERNAMA:
SHAh ALAM, July 2 (Bernama) -- Murder accused Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri's girlfriend told the High Court here Monday that the last time she saw Altantuya Shaariibuu was when the Mongolian woman was being taken away from the Bukit Aman Federal Police Headquarters in a vehicle driven by a man wearing a green cap on Oct 19 last year.

Lance Corporal Rohaniza Roslan said the woman, whom she identified as Altantuya, was taken in a Suzuki Vitara four-wheel drive by Azilah's friend.

She said that after the vehicle had left the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters, she saw Azilah walking towards the Special Action Squad office there.

Rohaniza disclosed this when testifying as the prosecution's seventh witness at the Altantuya murder trial which entered its 11th day.

Azilah, 31, and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar, 36, who were formerly attached to the Special Action Squad, have been charged with killing Altantuya between 10pm on Oct 19 and 1am on Oct 20 at Lots 12843 and 16735 in Mukim Bukit Raja, Shah Alam. Political analyst Abdul Razak Abdullah Baginda, 47, is accused of abetting the two policemen between 9.54am on Oct 18 and 9.45pm on Oct 19, 2006 in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

Rohaniza, 29, said the incident occurred after she had followed Azilah, who was driving her Proton Wira car to fetch Altantuya in front of Abdul Razak's house to be taken to Bukit Aman Police Headquarters on the night of Oct 19.

She said the man wearing the green cap was not dressed in police uniform and was only wearing a t-shirt and jeans just like Azilah.

Rohaniza said that after Altantuya was taken away by the man wearing the green cap, Azilah walked to the Special Action Squad office while she returned to her police barracks in Petaling Jaya.

According to the witness, Azilah had telephoned her at 11pm on the same night while she was at a karaoke centre in Bukit Bintang with two friends.

She said Azilah wanted her to fetch him at the Jalan Duta Toll Plaza or Rawang Toll Plaza.

"I did not go to fetch him as I did not know the place," Rohaniza said.

Rohaniza said Azilah, who scolded her, later went to the karaoke centre and asked her to go to the Special Action Squad office in Bukit Aman and wait for him there.

According to the witness, while at Bukit Aman, Azilah asked her to help him carry a sling bag to the car before sending Azilah to Putrajaya.

Rohaniza said that Azilah had then changed his attire.

The witness admitted that after the incident, Azilah appeared to behave in a strange manner and this happened while she and Azilah went to visit Azilah's parents in Sungai Pelek, Sepang on Oct 20, 2006.

"He (Azilah) was quiet. He was quiet most of the time. Usually he would speak when visiting (Rohaniza's) parents," the witness testified.
