Here're some interesting updates related to Ijok By-election :

Anwar Ibrahim is now anxiously waiting to be sued!
Anwar Ibrahim advisor to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is hoping that DPM Najib Abdul Razak would take the initiative to sue him as this would enable him to expose more in court of what he knows about the Mongolian murder case. Last night, Anwar continue his attack on Najib by 'inviting' the deputy premier to initiate a lawsuit against him for linking the latter to the murder case of a Mongolian national.

Opposition Bankrupt Of Issues In Ijok - Najib
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the opposition no longer have any issues to raise in the by-election for the Ijok state seat and are resorting to issues which have nothing to do with the locals, including the murder of the Mongolian woman, Altantuya Shaariibuu.

"What is the relationship between the Mongolian woman and the people of Ijok? There is no relationship, it has nothing to do with me too. It has nothing to do with me, yet it is being raised up here as an election issue," said the Deputy Prime Minister when opening the new SRJK (Tamil) Bestari Jaya building, here today.

PM says provocations In Elections Doesn't Promise Victory

Political parties resorting to provocative actions in election campaigns, like what happened during nomination for the Ijok by-election on Thursday, did not mean victory for the parties, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said. The prime minister was asked on party supporters hurling plastic bottles and pieces of wood at each other during the nomination process for the April 28 by-election.

Rehabilitation Work Necessary At Closed Landfills - Khir Toyo
Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo said rehabilitation work at the sanitary dumping ground at Kubang Badak, Ijok had to be carried out despite the landfill having been closed. Dr Mohamad Khir said he needed to explain the matter due to allegations by the opposition parties, in their campaign for the Ijok by-election, that he had lied about closing the landfill.

Blogger Jeff Ooi and PKR candidate Khalid Ibrahim intimidated by BN Youths
About 20 people, including some in Pemuda BN uniform, allegedly tried to intimidate PKR candidate Khalid Ibrahim and two freelance photographers - one of whom is a well-known blogger, Jeff Ooi - in Ijok this afternoon.

Ooi said the injured photographer, who declined to be named, was later hit by a water bottle hurled through a half-open car window when trying to inch away from the venue after being surrounded.

BN Has 'Own Strategy' To Woo Support In Ijok
Barisan Nasional (BN) will adopt its 'own strategy' and not follow the tune set by the opposition party in the campaign to win support in the by-election for the Ijok state seat in Selangor on April 29, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

"We must use our wisdom in drawing up an appropriate strategy," he told reporters after the second annual gathering of the Attorney-General's Chambers of Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and Singapore.
