(BERNAMA) Polling for the Ijok state seat by-election began at 8am Saturday at all the nine polling centres.

Returning officer Haris Kassim said that all the 28 polling streams at the polling centres would open until 5pm to enable the 12,272 voters in the constituency to vote for either K. Parthiban, 38, of the Barisan Nasional (BN) or Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, 61, of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

The by-election is being held following the death of BN assemblyman Datuk K. Sivalingam, 59, of heart failure on April 4.

Counting of votes will be carried out at the respective polling centres before being tallied and the winner announced at the Batang Berjuntai community hall.

6532 + 3369 + 2551 = 12452

12272("Total voters") - 12452 = -180

Looks like 180 Phantom voters before voting even begins!!
