KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who was warded at the National Heart Institute (IJN) here early yesterday after complaining of chest pains, is still under medical observation.
However, IJN Corporate Communications Manager Alawiyah Yussof when contacted by Bernama said no latest information was available from the doctors on Dr Mahathir's health condition.
"The latest information may be available by noon," she said.
Alawiyah said for now, visits were still limited to immediate family members.
Dr Mahathir was placed at the IJN Coronary Care Unit (CCU) after complaining of chest pains between 3am and 4am yesterday.
He was reported to be fine and appeared cheerful yesterday afternoon after being placed under sedation and was resting.
