It's normal to be harsh during umno general assembly - Hishamuddin

Oh so this what is known as "normal", then I dont really know what is abnormal?!

Delegates' Harsh Criticisms Won't Affect BN, Says Hishammuddin

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 16 (Bernama) -- Harsh criticisms hurled against non-Malays by delegates at the Umno General Assembly will not affect the cordial relationship among Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties, said Umno Youth chief Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.

He described the strong criticisms as normal because the delegates used the right channel to voice the Malays' aspirations.

"This is normal. They have a job to do, we have a job to do too. But the fundamental issue is our intention and objectives," he told reporters after launching Putera Umno Bulletin in conjunction with the Umno General Assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre here Thursday.

He was commenting on MCA Youth chief Datuk Liow Tiong Lai who expressed his disappointment yesterday over the delegates' criticisms of several MCA, Gerakan and MIC leaders and asked them to retract their statements.

On the bulletin, Hishammuddin said it was a conduit to disseminate news on the activities of Putera Umno comprising members aged between 15 and 25 years.

Also present were Umno Youth vice-chief Khairy Jamaluddin and Putera Umno chairman Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim.

Hishammuddin praised Putera Umno, a bureau under Umno Youth for getting closer with "Mat Rempit" (illegal motorcycle racers) and was planning to collaborate with Puteri Umno to tackle the "Minah Rempit" problem.

Abdul Azeez said initially 10,000 copies of the quarterly bulletin would be printed and distributed to every Umno Youth division.

On Mat Rempit, he said about 15,000 Mat Rempit had joined Putera Umno and about 8,000 of them had registered as voters.
