I'm Still Not Satisfied With Civil Service Efficiency - Abdullah

Oh God, luckily he didn't say he is satisfied, that would be the end of the world!!

-----
KOTA KINABALU, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is still not satisfied with the efficiency of the civil service including its public delivery system.

He wants continued efforts be made to remedy existing weaknesses in the civil service.

"Though I've spoken about the matter several times and is not something new, nevertheless it's an important issue and must be due attention by all parties, especially civil servants, to ensure the national development objectives underlined in the Ninth Malaysia Plan are achieved successfully.

"The advice to improve efficiency in the public administration is not new and the advice to boost the public delivery system is also not new but we are still talking about these topics including integrity because our efforts to attain the desired goals and objectives have yet to be realised.

"It is not satisfactory, we still need to work harder," he said when opening the national-level government administration enhancement convention here Thursday
