Tun Mahathir told NOT to visit Perlis now

This is interesting. Soon, Tun Mahathir is not allowed to go anywhere.

Soon, every state will issue the same statement.

Another, "Perintah Tuanku, Patik Junjung"?

Don't visit Perlis now Dr Mahathri told

Menteri Besar Perlis Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim hoped former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will not accept an invitation to speak at the general meeting of the Umno Padang Besar division on Aug. 27.

Shahidan said Dr Mahathir could visit Perlis any time but not when the issue of leadership was still hot which could allow some people to take advantage of the situation.

He said there were other programmes being arranged to enable Dr Mahathir to meet people in the State.

"I understand KUKUM (Kolej Universiti Kejuteraan Utara Malaysia) will present an honorary doctorate of engineering to Tun in September and there will be an appreciation event organised for him," he said.

Shahidan said the Youth, Wanita and Puteri wings of Umno Padang Besar division had informed him that they would not accept Dr Mahathir's visit at this time.

Division head Zahidi Zainul claimed that IKM Berseri was instructed by ‘people at the top’ to revoke its approval for the Aug 26 event

According to him, they are worried that Mahathir will continue his criticisms against Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
