JAKARTA, Aug 12 (Bernama) -- Former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his former deputy Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim are scheduled to participate in a three-day World Peace Forum to be held here Monday.

They will join some 50 other religious leaders and political figures from 28 countries to discuss global injustices and how the values of humanity, common destiny and one responsibility of mankind could serve as an integrating force in efforts to ensure world peace.

The forum, with One Humanity, One Destiny, One Responsibility as the theme, seeks to achieve several objectives including to deepen the networks of dialogue among civilisations in order to promote tolerance and mutual respects and to explore ways by which different civilisations could better cooperate in spreading the voice of peace.

In a copy of the program book made available to Bernama here Saturday, the joint organisers of the forum, Muhammadiyah, the second largest Muslim organisation in Indonesia and the Jakarta-based Multi Culture Society, said Dr Mahathir would deliver a keynote address at the international symposium on Tuesday at the Hilton Hotel here.

Anwar meanwhile would be one of the panelists at the session three discussion on `One Responsibility: Working Together for World Peace' together with leaders from Russia, Indonesia, Australia and Singapore.

In conjunction with the forum to be opened by Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla, an exhibition on `World Peace Message of Admiral Cheng Ho' would also be held at the hotel showcasing exhibits from Malaysia's Cheng Ho Museum and Cheng Ho Museums of Semarang, Surabaya, Aceh and Jakarta National Musem.
