Kota Kinabalu: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the continuing bickering between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Abdullah Badawi and his predecessor Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad bore no significance to him.

He said the rancorous exchanges between leaders in the nation were more on individual matters.

"To me, the battle between Mahathir and Abdullah is not relevant. I am not particularly interested because the major issues that were brought up are very personal and part of projects that Mahathir wants Abdullah to implement.

"My interest when talking to Sabahans is not about the scenic bridge in Singapore but on the difficulties faced by Sabahans like the problems in basic amenities, rising prices, land titles, etc. These are the issues of concern to the poor in Sabah," he said.

The former Deputy Prime Minister said this at a press conference after a closed door meeting with PKR Sabah officials and supporters at a hotel here, Monday.
